Summary
An avalanche had been set into motion. There was nothing that could stop it now. It would rush over her and drown her and there was nothing Míriel could do anymore but let it all play out.
Her defiance reared like a wild horse at that thought, however, not wanting to succumb to the inevitable. There must be something she could do. For herself and for her people.
She needed to check which alliances she still held.Míriel never, never wanted to be surprised like that again. And she never wanted to have her private space invaded unbidden again, not by Pharazôn, nor by anyone else. Rational thinking took over and banished the whirling fear in her stomach.
There was one person who could help her.

Míriel and Elendil's first kiss was also a goodbye kiss. After parting ways, Elendil continues his journey in search of help to prevent the usurper Ar-Pharazôn and his supporters from taking over Númenor. He plans to find support among the Faithful and other citizens and reclaim the kingdom for its rightful Queen, Míriel. Even with duty coming first, Elendil's heart yearns more than ever to return to her side, especially knowing that she also harbors romantic feelings for him. How long will it take for them to be reunited and find the happiness they deserve after so much time in mourning and fighting?
This is a story that takes place after the second season of Rings of Power. -

Summary
The kingdom of Numenor has been on the decline, ever since they forsake the ways of the elves. Not to mention the time when Ar-Pharazon ursurped the Queen regent Tar-Miriel from her throne ever since she returned from her voyage without her eyesight and after the passing of her father. It wasn't until Elendir was put into prison and after she succesfully faced the trials of the Sea, that their horrendous reign of terror was put to a screeching halt. Unfortunately, the damage done by them from the influence of Suaron and his treachory the damage was done. Which is when the Valar decide to pay them all a visit, and inform them of the doom that will shortly befall this once great kingdom. At first she thought that her dream many moons ago, of a great wave crashing into the buildings and destroying everything in its path was just a nightmare. However, it was the visit from the Valar which sadly confirmed, the very things she was afraid would be true. In order to ensure the safety of her people, Miriel bravely steps up and makes the ultimate sacrifice by staying behind, an action that absolutely horrifies the son of Amandil.

Summary
Since returning to Númenor, both Elendil and Tar-Miriel had become the target of Ar-Pharazôn’s true ambitions. By using the late King’s death as an excuse to dethrone the Queen Regent, as well as the enormous losses incurred in the Battle of the Southlands, Ar-Pharazôn hoped to prove that Tar-Miriel was unworthy of holding power in Númenor. But in a moment of fierce resolve, she managed to challenge such a notion in court, proclaiming that if she could not turn such transgressions into gold then she would willingly relinquish her title and abdicate the throne.
Believing that she would fail and humiliate herself beyond repair, Ar-Pharazôn agreed to her demands but allowed her only one month to prove his claims to be false. And so, since then Elendil and the Queen have convened at sunrise every morning, hours before court was held, in order to get ahead of matters concerning the public, the economy and military endeavours. But outsmarting such a devious politician was a task unlike anything Tar-Miriel had faced before, one in which she was severely unequipped.
