Summary
The rhythmic clang of hammer on anvil was Goran’s heartbeat, the acrid scent of coal smoke his perfume. For generations, The Savage Beast had stood, a testament to unyielding steel and honest sweat. Goran, a man whose face was as weathered as his leather apron, believed in the immutable laws of fire and force. His tools, though unadorned, were legendarily unbreakable, each one a legacy of pure, functional strength.
His only companion, Blaze, was a rather flamboyant counterpoint to Goran’s stoicism. The dragon was a vibrant creature, scales shimmering like polished obsidian, but his true pride was his multi-hued flame. Where Goran saw practical necessity, Blaze saw canvas. When the dragon annealed a blade, he couldn’t resist adding a swirl of amethyst or a dash of emerald to the cooling metal, creating patterns that Goran dismissed as "frivolous nonsense" and "a waste of good heat." Blaze, a true showman, simply huffed plumes of iridescent smoke and continued his artistic vandalism.

Summary
Elowen Nightshade, with her spectacles perched on her nose and her dark hair perpetually escaping its braid, was a creature of absolute precision. Her family’s potion shop, "Draconic Tonic," was a sanctuary of meticulously labeled jars and ancient, leather-bound tomes containing recipes passed down through generations. Elowen knew every ingredient, every precise measurement, every exact stirring motion. Consistency and reliability were the cornerstones of her craft, and her reputation in the bustling market town of Flamecraft was impeccable.
Her dragon, Pip, was the exact opposite. Pip was a blur of iridescent scales, a creature of boundless curiosity and unrestrained energy. He wasn’t a colossal, fire-breathing beast of legend, but rather the size of a large dog, with expressive golden eyes and a tail that perpetually wagged like an eager pointer. Pip had an innate, almost primal ability to sense the subtle magical properties of plants and minerals. He didn't follow recipes; he added "a pinch of happy," or "a dash of sunny," based on a feeling, often with utterly unpredictable, yet undeniably wonderful, results. Elowen saw this as reckless, chaotic, a direct threat to her shop's hard-won reputation.
