Summary
The world of Gateway barely held out against an invasion by the demonic Golden Legion. In the shadow of the Legion's Shroud, an arcane sigil that prevented long-range communication and teleportation magic, a technological boom took off across the nations of the Northern Alliance. Now focused on rebuilding itself, Dallmoor is one of the pioneers of this revolution, riding the waves of modernization by investing in radios and telegraphs, an army of inventors pushing progress for progress' sake.
Inside the military, the shrewd and severe Colonel Cordelia Blériot Heim drafts plans that will change the trajectory of not only her nation, but the world at large. When a young, bright-eyed radio operator joins her crew, Cordelia must contend with the path she has chosen for herself, and what role her new adjutant will play in her plans.
My GM gave me capital B Brainworms about a character I won't even be playing for two campaigns from now. Based in Gateway, a world inspired in-part by the Gears of Revolution adventure path, but has over a decade become a sprawling world that I'm excited to play in every week.
