In Doma, the news comes with the warning of a renewed attempt on Yanxia's borders. In an effort to ensure the safety of his only son, Hien, the king of Doma assigns the prince a bodyguard - no less than the very man who brought the warning with him, Elja. Neither is particularly happy with the assignment - Hien chafes under the standards Elja sets for his security and Elja secretly grieves those he lost in the war - and are even less pleased when the invasion forces them to flee Doma altogether. Will their time together forge a new understanding?
