Summary
I was asleep when my mom ran into my room, packing my clothes for me in my new Cotopaxi backpack.
"Mom what are you doing?"
She looked at me and sighed, putting her cigarette out on her hand.
"They are here."
I was confused. I rolled out my light purple comforter and ruffled my long thick blue hair.
"Who is???"
"Your new owners."
This is the story of how Wendover Productions bought me.

Summary
A voice breaks through the ringing in his ears, loud enough for Sam to tear his eyes away from the dark clouds slowly overtaking, well, everything. Glancing to his right, there’s a big blurry blob of white, a head with brown hair and glasses (crooked) and— Ben.
There’s Ben.
Sam’s not alone right now.

Brian wanted to know what the beard would look like, now that Ben’s fully committed to growing it out – hot words pressed against the outer rim of his ear promise him wonderful things, the lilting bite of Brian’s voice enough to make Ben weak in the knees.
(his knees are always weak)
Being in love with Brian is just so damn easy.

There is too much light in this bar, too many widescreen tvs filled with sports and ticker tape, too many boot heels over wooden floors, too much country music (it's classist to hate country music as a genre and right now Ben doesn't care), too many rich white men enraptured by the sound of their own voices, and Ben just wants to drown it all out, wash it away.

Summary
There was something strange about Sam.
Not that he was looking off into the distance and holding a blue flower in his hand. Anyone might do that during a hike. Stopping to smell the flowers was a cliche for a reason. No, there were two strange things. One, Sam’s hat was lying next to him in the grass. Sam almost always kept a cap over his shoulder-length blond hair. Ben had never asked why - he assumed Sam was sensitive about his hair for some reason that was none of his business. Pulling the cap off for a moment to feel the breeze or fluff his hair out was normal, setting it down was not. Also, removing the cap that blocked the sun from his face made the second strange thing more obvious - Sam was sparkling.

Summary
The ship of Theseus is a paradox regarding identity over time. One version, positing a scenario in which all the parts of a ship are replaced gradually and one at a time, poses this question: Is the vessel that exists after the replacements the same ship as the vessel that existed before the replacements?

Ben has at least half of the train station’s departure times imprinted into his memory, but he still spares a quick glance to double check.
The irony is certainly not lost on him that this might be the most stressed he’s been, considering the fact that his life for the past decade looked a whole lot like this. Adam wouldn’t find it funny. He’d give Ben that look— both disapproval and deep concern that seems to be an Adam Chase special. And also a look exclusively reserved for Ben.
At least he’s certainly never seen it directed at Sam.

Smile shaky, it still brightens Adam’s entire face. The lines around his eyes deepen, their blue even brighter as a smidgen of joy returns to his features. Pulling in a deep breath through the gap in his front teeth, Adam squares his shoulders. “Benjamin, we’ve been dating for three years now. And— and I won’t lie, like, uh, these three years have been the best years of my life, buddy.”
Here it comes.
The moment that will ruin Ben forever.
