Summary
A week after what was considered the end, problems still plague Krat as it tries to rebuild. Dregs of the Alchemists scattered around Krat have gone into hiding, monsters still roam dark alleys and waterways, and puppet attacks have again risen.
In an attempt to cure one of these problems, the newly named Pinocchio and his friend and guide, Gemini, travel to the ruins of the Alchemist Isle on a hunch from the incredible genius Venigni.
What they find there, though, starts a new chapter in their lives.

“Are you planning to tell me how I’m still alive?” Romeo asks.
P blinks, perhaps surprised at Romeo’s coherency, or vitriol, or both. “I was able to preserve your Ergo. It was easy enough to construct that body after my own schematics."
Slowly, Romeo forces air into his chest, a humming buzz the only sensation beneath his fingertips. “And what does that make me now?”
The smile P gives is odd, as though he’s both unfamiliar with the practice of it and the emotion behind it all at once. “Like me, I think.”
Or, Romeo is revived in a puppet body similar to P's, just in time to meet a familiar face from Venigni's past that threatens both his quickly forming bond with P and all of Krat's new, fragile peace.

Summary
“Well, regardless of who you are, you’ve been yourself the entire time. Haven’t you?”
Quixotic, adj: exceedingly idealistic; unrealistic and impractical.
A puppet boy who was born to die instead comes alive thanks to people he didn’t know he lost and love he didn’t know he felt. Love is for humans, after all, and he is not one, but he can be.
But Romeo definitely was, once, and it’s only fair that he gets to be again. Or at least, that he gets to be as close as he can. This realization drives P to push through his grief, his trauma, and rekindle the dimming candlelight he loved before he ever even knew its name.
Unfortunately, things are rarely ever as easy or simple as anyone wants them to be.

Ever since listening to music for the first time, P’s developed a fond interest for collecting records. It’s not something Gepetto, Sophia, or any of the other attendees of Hotel Krat could have expected to happen.
Though they endure a horrible time of plague and frenzy, the music at least reminds them that there is still something to look forward to for the next day.

Intrigued, he nods.
“It’s because you are able to make memories, and memories are a very powerful thing. I believe they are what allow everyone to live in the first place. So, as you grow up, make sure to make plenty of memories.”
Make memories…he’s made a lot so far. But something inside of P looked at the woman who sits beside him and found an admirable person before him. If he makes more, a part of P wonders if maybe he’ll be like her.
