Even though Carter has been acting a bit off ever since the crew woke up from Cryo sleep, Rhys has attempted to keep themself in high spirits! Which can be a bit difficult when it seems that the crew leads all dump their unwanted paperwork onto Rhys’ plate.
All of them except for the Life Support Lead Mack Packston, a self-absorbed perfectionist seeking to climb to the top.
A chance encounter between Mack and Rhys leads to them becoming unexpectedly close.
A little bit too close for Carter’s liking, it seemed. Rhys has always known their cousin to be a forgiving person, but suddenly he has a grudge against Mack, who, as far as Rhys knew, neither of them had ever met before arriving onboard the ship.

After last awakening, Mark hadn’t anticipated ever waking up here again, confined to this cold tomb. Back to this ugly part of him he had been so sure he left behind in the chilly fingers of space. He thought he'd left for good, but it seems that Mark couldn’t escape his past after all. For as much as he wanted to take all he’d done and completely forget about it, he’d never be able to escape it. One more time. One more time to not completely mess things up for his… for the Captain.
Mark was going to start over. He was going to make all of this up to his Captain. Even if it was the last thing he did.
The Captain wasn't oblivious. And they weren't turning a blind eye to their Head Engineer.
