That was the day that Ace vowed that the curse he'd been born with wouldn't be passed on. He may have been a child himself but he knew enough about the world already to know that it hated him and his blood and that it would be just cruel to subject anyone else to his sure to be terrible fate. He was six-years-old and he already knew he would die young.
Ace was fifteen-years-old when he presented and once his mind returned all he could do was cry. Because the curse he'd been born with wasn't enough in fate's cruel eyes and now he had presented as an omega and all the world saw them as good for was to bear young. He had already sworn off love and a family at six and now, he might not get a choice. Omegas didn't get a choice.

He didn't expect being DIFFERENT meant he was on the hit list for the World Government. And add to that, Luffy's devil fruit being sentient and ALSO on the hit list of the World Government, he seemed to be shackled to a fate long ago set in stone for him. That didn't mean he'd let it overrule his quest to become the Pirate King, regardless of all the many complications being a ghoul and a god brought along with it.

Sanji was heading to the kitchen to prepare lunch and some snacks for his precious Nami-swan ~ and Vivi-chwan ~. Oh, right, and for those savages too.
He reached the kitchen, opened the door, and was about to enter when he suddenly stopped dead in his tracks.
There, in the middle of the kitchen, in front of the refrigerator, was Fire Fist Ace, eating with greed and relative normalcy what looked like... a piece of meat?
Though looking closely, the piece of meat looked a bit strange. Squinting his eyes in concentration, he noticed that the color of the steak wasn't the usual; it was redder, a more intense color, it even looked bloody, and raw... Okay, that definitely wasn't normal.

Ace's eyes narrow. No longer curious. "Which moron told you that?"
"Nobody had to tell me; it's obvious. You're just some pirate, right? Why else would they do all of this?"
Ace's fists clench in his lap. The chains shackling his wrists to his ankles overbalance, rattling as they coil between his feet. The marines who'd arrested him had let him keep his shoes. They seem to have let him keep everything: log pose, belt, necklace. They want to kill him at the height of his dignity. The effect is lessened somewhat by the heavy seastone handcuffs; the poor guy doesn't stand a chance. There isn't any pride to be taken in an execution, when your enemy is already beaten.
And there's something about the way that Ace is holding himself, breathing so deeply, looking back at Luffy so evenly, that tells him that Ace is beaten.
