Summary
Dr. Otto Octavius is returned, without the arc reactor, to 2022 rather than 2004. The Peter he reunites with remembers everything about their multiversal travels, as does Norman, and presumably, Marko.
Stranded eighteen years in the future in a world that believes him to be dead, Otto must relearn what it is to be alive. The only issue with this is that, quite simply, he doesn’t want to be.
But that is a thought best kept to himself, better to keep his head down and focus on the tasks at hand—copy editing textbooks, patrolling New York alongside Peter and Harry—and he does just that until a time-sick vigilante crashes into the Empty Sky Memorial Park during one of his routine patrols. They claim to be from the future, to know him, and Otto must figure out what disastrous circumstances have stranded them three years in the past before their future wreaks havoc on his present.

May deliberates, but eventually settles on “enhanced senses” to describe the overwhelming feeling that comes over her whenever something is… off.
It happens on the street, when a bike messenger ignores the stoplights and she’s already leaping out of the way before he can call out a warning, time seeming to slow and speed up all at once.
It happens in Delmar’s, when she knocks a can off a shelf and snatches it out of the air with lightning-quick reflexes. In the moment, it’d felt like she had all the time in the world to catch it.
It’s a feeling she becomes aware of the longer she focuses, like a current ebbing and flowing all around her, some strange sense of echolocation not limited to sound only she is aware of. Objects catch in the current, disrupting it like ripples on a pond and she can tell, intimately and immediately, that something’s going to happen, and how.
“Enhanced reflexes,” she adds, tapping the pencil to her chin. She’ll have to think of a new adjective.
