He never asked to be whisked away by gods-knew-what to gods-knew-where, but here he was. Now, he has to navigate a world of heroes, villains, aliens, and mutants. And did he mention the group of teenage heroes trying to get him to join them?
Yeah, the Fates were definitely getting a kick out of this.

Percy adjusted his glasses and straightened his tie, perpetually looking slightly disheveled. "So, uh, big fan of Superman?" he asked, observing the article she was typing on her laptop.
She scoffed. "More like a fan of seeing my name on the byline and making the cover."
"Come on, Annabeth, he's awesome. You have to admit it," Percy said with a smile, finally addressing her by her first name.
"Maybe," she replied hesitantly. "But don't his powers ever worry you? He could demolish the city if he wanted to."
"I suppose he could..." Percy responded. "But he would never do that. Superman helps people; he doesn't harm them."
"You sound like you know the guy, Smallville," Annabeth countered.
Percy simply shrugged, rolling his eyes at the nickname she had coined when he first started working at the Planet. Although the nickname annoyed him when others used it, it didn't bother him as much when she said it.

Summary
Percy Jackson is just trying to be a normal high school kid after the war. Keyword: trying. An apartment move comes with changes: a new school... and a strange new neighbor, Peter Parker. As he adapts to his new home and school, Percy discovers the seemingly endless amount of crime that is occurring around Queens. And these aren't the monsters he's used to, they're mortal villains completely wrapped up in mortal affairs. But even though this type of chaos isn't what he's used to, he knows that New York needs him, and reluctantly, he decides to follow Spider-man's example and put on a mask of his own. People around town soon discover the new hero, seemingly teaming up with Spider-man to stop robberies, havoc-wreaking supervillains, and any other funny business around New York. But to the dismay of the demigods, a new prophecy soon arises, and with it, the shadow of a new powerful being looking to start a war. Will the demigods face this threat alone, or will they risk their secret for both types of heroes to come together?

Summary
Percy Jackson would make a dangerous superhero, because if a villain used his girlfriend or family against him, he would put their lives before the lives of the populace. His idea of a happy ending completely disregards the state of the world at large, focusing instead on the lives of about five people. I found this a fun idea to play with, and so I wrote this.

A lot. That was the answer. Ever since Annabeth followed Riptide back to his abode, she’s been thrust into a dangerous game of surprises and deceit. And the Half-Blood Times’ new photographer, Percy, has far too much to do with that.
