**I was playing a modded Stardew game headcannoning as Barton from Alchemy Stars and decided to write it up - you don’t need to know Alchemy Stars to enjoy this fic **
He was injured in a deep underground city fighting on the frontlines, his eye blind, his face scarred and forced into retirement. The six months with his parents in Zuzu killed what little spark for life the Illumina General once had.
He had no idea what to do on a farm, had never had the chance to eat fresh produce. Still, the town set him up with some chickens and he wanted to give something good to write back to his friends.
He wins over some dogs sneaking about his land. His farm starts to flourish. He meets a stranger in the mines and gets to know the faces of the valley.
He wants to build a home for his friends to come to, to be happy in the warmth of the sun at long last.

Summary
There was something wrong with Barton. Not normal wrong, something much worse.
There was also blood. A lot of it.
And fur and hair.
What had attacked him? Why didn’t he call for help with his communicator?
She sees first hand what monsters hide in Illumina's closet through her closest friend. She promises to help him learn about his past and accept what happened in order to use his power to get stronger.
She missed his usual antics, but she wanted to see what the Beast under Illumina's Bed could achieve. For him, he wants to keep her safe from and show her the realities of where her path was heading.
A snarling beast with an ambitious master and a shared love for the same person.
The beast that Illumina experimented on, tortured and ruined was changing. He was fighting back with all his might and he was going to have to face the history he's been hidden from.

Summary
Barton is summoned to his lovers as soon as he returns home from war. Expecting it to be Reinhardt and Wrath letting him vent his aggitation, he's not expecting the tenderness of being at their mercy in the bathroom, letting them wash his hair and skin, removing the realities of war.
He's jealous of his men sometimes, to be able to love their partners so openly, but to be shown such beautiful Intimacy he doesn't feel he deserves means the world to him.

Summary
When Fleur drinks, the effects of his tail invert, leaving him murmuring lewd dreams of the soldier trying his best to suppress his heat in the bed next to him. Turns out Fleur's got feelings for him and that allure is forcing him to confront them without even realizing.
So they test the waters, turns out the Wrencher isn't quite so sweet an innocent and his lover is part beast, making for some of the most unique sex for both of them.
When Vivian realises Barton's vitals indicate a heat, Wrath and Reinhardt rush to check on him to find he's sorted it out on his own and maybe they should give the pair a little room and enjoy a glass of wine for a while.
