He sets the controller between his splayed out legs. He leans back, and his hair flows over his shoulders and falls behind him. “Not really.” Kaiden sounds defeated. Sage starts to reconsider if Kaiden’s doing as well as Sage thought he was. Sage feels his stomach twist, and his heart thumps in his chest. He feels a familiar tingling in his fingertips. He opens his mouth and snaps it shut again. He hesitates. “It’s getting worse, isn’t it?”
