Summary
Haruko has spent his life lost in video games, drowning in loneliness and depression, feeling like a failure in the real world. His only escape is Orb Masters, a game he has mastered but one that offers no real purpose beyond the screen. One night, he stumbles upon a glowing orb—an exact replica of the legendary orbs from the game. The moment he touches it, the orb disappears into his body. Yet, nothing changes. Or so he thinks. But that same night, another person touched the same orb that night—Ren, everything Haruko is not. Outgoing, full of life, and always moving forward, Ren has never questioned his purpose. But when the world around them suddenly shifts into a nightmarish version of Orb Masters, filled with monsters and battles they never asked for, both are forced to fight for survival. Bound together by fate, Haruko and Ren must uncover the truth behind the orb and their new reality. As they navigate this brutal world, their differences fade, replaced by an unspoken connection neither fully understands. But the deeper they go, the more they realize the terrifying truth—only one of them can make it out alive.
In the end, a choice must be made. And one of them won’t survive.
