Un día, Francis compra su primer computadora a los 32 años. Un chico del pueblo le enseña a utilizar lo básico, y de ahí en adelante Francis solo quiere aprender más y más para publicitar un nuevo producto de su granja. Además, con el dinero recaudado comprará, por fin, la ordeñadora láser que tanto anhela. Pero para vender su producto necesitará ayuda de un publicista y no tiene mucho dinero en mano en estos tiempos.
Tom es un joven estudiante de diseño y publicidad, está en su último año de la carrera y necesita hacer su tesis. Además de eso, necesita empezar a trabajar porque lo han despedido de su trabajo como mesero. Decide empezar a ofrecer sus servicios como publicista (sin poner que es principiante, para obtener más ofertas), y en unos meses recibe una solicitud, de un pueblo muy alejado de su ciudad.
Ambos se unen al dolor, y sólo uno de ellos lo sentirá en carne propia.
