Welcome to Emerald Seas, the first 'book' of Sirens of the AstroWaste!
Inspired by the works of Adrienne Cowan and Brittney 'Slayes' Hayes of the metal bands Seven Spires and Unleash The Archers respectively, this is part of my Deviance series but in longer form, thus the distinction, and aims to be a merged retelling of Emerald Seas (2020) by Seven Spires, and Demons of the AstroWaste (2011) by Unleash The Archers, as they take place in my Transcendence universe.

At this moment, there is nothing particularly violent in this story. . . it just started. And I have no outline other than the song list, so it could and probably will get violent, but as of right now, it's safe for any reader. I'll update tags if that changes.
I'm essentially writing a chapter for every song on the albums Apex and Abyss. I've never written fanfic before, so. . . here is me trying something new. Hang on tight y'all.

Summary
Transcendence: Welcome To Midwich Valley is a short I wrote for the recently-passed Halloween season.
This story focuses on Ignus Tabenthe, chosen of Nova (one of the 'Vanished Gods' of Transcendence), his efforts to regain the elemental gem of flame where Nova is trapped by an ancient curse, and escape from the clutches of the Mourners, a wide-spread religious cult that worships the Matriarch, with members in every stratum of every society.
Ignus was raised in a different society than the one the main Transcendence series begins in, so instead of references to the Immortal, the Matriarch, and the Soulbound, you'll see references to the Timeless, the Queen, and her Brood.Series
