A choice made in an instant sends Rebecca colliding not with a preordained demise, but an impossible world lying mere microns beneath the nigh-impenetrable rust and crust of the ravenous concrete megastructure calling itself Night City. On that climactic night when everything came to a screeching halt, what if Rebecca had been ever so slightly to the right?
Two tales of woe intersect beneath Memorial Park, threads of disparate stories woven together by happenstance and gut judgment, and Rebecca finds herself in the midst of a crew of Edgerunners that managed to beat Night City's impossible odds, still tempting fate after three Red decades on the Edge. With an ounce of their luck on her side, perhaps she'll live to see a third decade of her own.
Or: Rebecca runs into a gaggle of old Cyberpunk RED PCs after a brief instant of otherwise uncharacteristic self-preservation.

Summary
Vincent and Valerie grew up on the streets of Night City, fending for themselves. That was hard enough for an empath like Valerie. When an attack left Valerie so traumatized her twin brother was the only person she’d speak to, he packed them up and moved them to Atlanta, hoping the change would help and he’d make a name for himself. None of that happened. At least back in NC, he knew people that would help keep an eye on Valerie.
After they return, he meets Jackie Wells, and things start looking better for the pair, especially when Jackie lines up a job for some sweet Arasaka tech that should get them set for life. Unfortunately, life in Night City never seems to go as planned . . . .
When he finds out what the relic is doing to him, all Vincent cares about is making sure Valerie is taken care of. All she wants to do is save her brother.
