Summary
As long as the noble and ancient Black family can be traced back, their purpose has been to track and kill the vampires of London. And with each generation, at least one hunter has been born.
Unfortunately for Sirius, the job isn’t exactly optional.

Remus Lupin has nothing to his name except a clue about his past, which prompts him to find his way to the heart of Alabama. Down on his luck, he meets Sirius Black on the road, and all his troubles seem to vanish. Fun as it is, it's obvious Sirius is hiding something, and maybe running from something too. It doesn't take a genius to figure out Sirius is a vampire, but when Regulus catches up with the pair and attacks them, the rest comes out: The House of Black comes from a long line of vampire hunters, and their disowned heir is no exception to their creed. On the contrary; it seems the whole family's game to bring Sirius down.
What's a guy to do when thrown into such a blood feud? All Remus knows is that he's more than willing to come along for the ride.
