Summary
The rain outside is loud and wet as it slams against the warehouse walls, the Joker’s raspy cackles echo from the ceiling to the floor, his baby’s heavy breaths from the exertion of his set up before he repeats the rules of the scene.
Snarling at him, Bruce watches as his baby twitches the tiniest bit everytime Joker laughs anew, “Kill him, or let me kill him. Those are your fucking choices Batman. If you ever even loved me, then avenge my fucking death and kill this fucking monster who killed me. Kill him, or let-”
Bruce feels the blood rush through him as his skin heats and he swallows down the acid taste trying to escape from his throat.
He remembers the feeling of holding his son, his little boy, in his arms. Jason was so little in his big arms. Robin suit so bright, covered in blood even brighter as he rasps out some breaths through his broken, torn up throat. The blood in his mouth spread across his teeth and cheeks, and Bruce heard every squelch of blood as he tried to breath.
Bruce reached for him, but Jason didn’t reach back before turning still.
