“Zoey,” Mira narrowed her eyes, reaching into her fashionable jacket to retrieve her phone. She unlocked it with deft fingers, before sliding it across the table, “Why. Why would you do this.”
It was a TikTok. Rumi leaned in, watching with interest. It was from a livestream of Zoey’s, probably the night before judging from what the dark haired girl was wearing.
It was a short clip of Zoey playing over and over again.
“While Rumi is the leader… Who’s she calling daddy? Mira!”
Rumi dropped her fork.
Zoey’s jaw dropped.
“Zoey!” Rumi squawked, her face burning red, “WHY would you say that?! Oh my god?! It isn’t even true! I don’t call Mira… that!!”
“That was taken out of context,” Zoey replied, stunned, “I was answering a question then got distracted by you guys watching Romance Mountain. They’ve clearly stitched it together so you don’t hear the pause! The intonation doesn’t even sound right!”
