“Miss 5100,” u2626 says, testing her name and she snaps her eyes up. It’s disconcerting when a fixed smile is all that she sees. “You’re nervous. Are you afraid I’ll hurt you?”
Was she? Certainly, her heart was pounding loudly in her chest, but aa5100 bites down on her lips; she takes his hand to make a point. “You won’t do that.” At his widening grin, she supplies. “You saved me after all.”

Don’t get involved with Baikin or Meneki, okay? They’re dangerous, Eiko’s voice crackled over the phone. Dangerous, he’s dangerous. But— Reimi clutches her bag to her chest as she calls out to him. “Thank you for saving me!”
He seems surprised by that, lifting his gaze from the gym bag he hasn’t picked up yet and taking a few moments to stare at her. “I didn’t,” he says flatly.
Reimi stares at him as he stares at her. Then, he reaches to rub the back of his neck, breaking their gaze again. He swallows and clears his voice. “I mean, you’re welcome.”
