Summary
His big idiot TV had never once asked for something Spamton wasn’t already willing to give him. Always more than happy, blushing and eager as he spread himself open, to take and take and take until he was a stuttering, staticky mess. He didn’t push. They hadn’t even needed to talk about it. Besides, Spamton was more than familiar with what Tenna was working with. It would be impossible. Next to impossible. So of course there was no point in dwelling on it. Obviously.

"Wow, you weren't kidding, huh? You really have been a good boy." His tone is light and airy, but the gleam in Spamton's eyes is unmissable. Tenna lets out a slight huff, flustered and irritated. I bet this is great for him, he thinks. He must feel so special, knowing he's the only one to see me like this.
Tenna's hand reaches over to wrap around Spamton's back, almost unconciously. It's a stupid gesture; Spamton normally never tolerates this kind of touch, but this time he leans into his grasp shakily, a lazy smile spreading across his face. It's... different now somehow.
Spamton runs his thumb along the edge of Tenna's face. "I have a few ideas, if you'd like to hear."
This is stupid. Things can still go back to normal if you put an end to whatever this is right now. Don't do it.
"I think..." Tenna starts, voice trembling slightly. "I think you should show me instead."

Tenna's supposed work dinner quickly gets out of hand. He has very complicated feelings about it.

Spamton took some distance. He looked wrecked, eyes still wide, lips bitten, breath uneven. His expression twitched like bad reception.

So after Susie fixes him up, he realizes the duct tape fixed everything, including what he never wanted the Lightners to see in him. He wants to fix it, to go back to that perfect-looking TV host persona...as soon as a little spade boy stops asking him questions.
