Harry had expected a few things when returning for his Eighth Year. Rooming with Ron, a cheeky Firewhisky down at the pub, leaving his assignments to the last minute – those were all but certain to occur.
His list of certainties definitely hadn’t included McGonagall’s shake-up of the curriculum, which tasked the Eighth Years with the responsibility of parenthood for three weeks. Caring for a baby Transfigured from a sack of flour would have been alright if: 1) Malfoy wasn’t Harry’s assigned partner, 2) Their baby’s one goal in life wasn’t to spite Harry, and 3) Malfoy wasn’t infuriatingly good at fake parenthood.

“I feel like this lot are louder, don’t you?” Peter asks, turning to look over his shoulder. The crowd have been chanting The Ma-rau-ders since the pre-show playlist stopped and it seems they’re becoming increasingly impatient.
During the entire tour, they’ve heard the screams of their fans like a litany of praise, over and over again at every venue. They’ve seen the looks on their faces when the light finally comes up, people with tears streaming down their faces and hands in the air the entire show. They’ve seen people swaying in time with Sirius and others playing the air drums alongside Peter.
It's the greatest feeling on Earth.
“Of course, they’re louder; it's the final show,” Remus says, failing to hide the growing smile on his face.
