Lots of mountains have missing people. Yet...You've been having these odd dreams lately. Each one lands you in a place where the sun never seems to set and an alien white light shines from the skies. You've accepted a task that has put you against sixteen monstrous creatures known as the Keilaises, large skeletal creatures made out of stone, earth, and magic. From each of these guardians, you must retrieve a shard in order to complete your quest.
You don't know if these dreams are real or not. With your sleepwalking issue becoming more and more frequent, these dreams seem to be out of control.

ALRIGHT SO...Im gonna be that ass and post something of a pure self indulgence fic, moreso than my other one in progress.
Im also thanking uses Kibbits and the Research Squad discord for givin me ideas and confidence to post this shit let alone write it.
ANYWAYS, Gordon lives a very boring life as a scientist at Black Mesa, until shit goes south and he and everyone else working there gets booted out for two months for repairs thanks to shenanigans.
What Gordon doesnt know is that he shares his spacious two bedroom apartment with a group of very chaotic borrowers. Benry, Coomer, Bubby, and Tommy. None of them like or expect the sudden change in schedule and now shit gets real, who'll be the idiot to get them all found out (if u read the ships you get a damn good idea..)
some slow burn for fluff reasons, Gordon goes a lil insane thinking he has rats, and all hell breaks loose.
ALSO theres going to be a reverse of this trope in the works sometime soon because I love both sides of this trope. Borrower Gordon dealing with the science team and trying not to die. Keep a eye out for that fic and my other shit as I update.

A HLVRAI Borrowers AU, based after the Studio Ghibli movie. In this fic, the Science Team (Dr. Coomer, Dr. Bubby, and Tommy) + Benrey are Borrowers, while Gordon's a human. The characterizations and dialogue flow nicely, and everyone's written well and in character. Filled with soft, fluffy moments and oodles of soft pining and dumb shenanigans. Main pairing is Gordon/Benrey, with Bubby/Dr.Coomer on the side.

Cheeb's second HLVRAI Borrowers AU, based after the Studio Ghibli movie. In this fic, the Science Team (Dr. Coomer, Dr. Bubby, and Tommy) + Benrey are humans, while Gordon's a Borrower. A little more dramatic than it's counterpart when you consider that it's Gordon being the small man here, it's expected that the relations will be a little rocky out of sheer Freeman-Brand Paranoia. Main pairing is Gordon/Benrey/Tommy, with Bubby/Dr.Coomer on the side.
