Summary
On a whim even he can't explain, Prince Hydron orders the capture of one Dan Kuso. He wants to see what it would take to break a human. He wants to see the fire in Dan's eyes tamed, contained, caged by devotion. He underestimates just how brightly Dan burns against the gilded cage even Hydron is trapped in. His is a spark that ignites the prince's soul, opening his eyes to the truth, the horrors that lie in the shadows of his garden of Eden.
Prince Hydron isn't anything like Dan expects. He's spoiled, capricious, and prone to fits of hysteria, true - but there's something deeper there too, a pain that seems too genuine to ignore. Dan isn't good at ignoring injustice when he sees it. Compassion is a powerful thing, wielded in the right hands; a sword, a song, a forbidden fruit held to Hydron's lips.
Dan's capture leaves Shun in a whirlwind of regret, fear, anger. He is Dan's shadow, his constant companion, and the tailwind fanning the flames left in Dan's wake - and he feels the loss of that warmth as keenly as he still feels the loss of his mother. His saving grace is that Dan is more than capable of saving himself. Shun just didn't expect him to save the prince too - but where Dan goes, Shun follows.

Summary
Spectra has achieved the impossible and toppled the Vestal empire after ending Zenoheld's tyrannical rule, with Gus (as always) by his side. Despite the fact that this is what Gus has always wanted for Spectra, he can't deny to himself that he holds forbidden affections towards his king. Several months into Spectra's reign, the cord finally snaps and Gus shows Spectra his other talents in a moment of jealousy.

He was the one who’d called them, who’d asked to meet up. There was a conversation that was long overdue, one he’d - in all honesty - much rather forget about entirely, one he wanted to get out of the way so he’d never have to think about it again. He was the one who’d said they should talk.
And yet, so far he’d said nothing.
He’d opened his mouth a few times to start only to snap it shut again a second or two later, the words refusing to come to him.
The clock ticked on for roughly another minute, and he opened his mouth to try again.
