Summary
Nico Elliot was a decent guy as far as most people in college were concerned.
Hard working, kind-mannered, conventionally attractive and with a sunny disposition matched only matched by a basket of puppies, he was always invited to group projects, late-night parties and get-togethers hosted by a good quarter of the folks in the college.
Uzi, was not Nico.
She was prickly, lonely and defensive, folks thought she was weird and gave her a wide berth wherever she walked, most guys and gals in the college avoided her like a plague and the only invitations she ever recieved was mostly out of pity.
But the biggest difference between them didn't have anything to do with their personality.
Because Nico (or 'N' as he liked to be called) was Human.
And Uzi was a Worker Drone.
So if you had went back in time six months ago and told Uzi that she would be dating a squishy Human boy, she would've probably socked you in the jaw for screwing with her.
Which was all the more surprising that it happened in spite of that.

Summary
It's been seven years since the Murder Drones arrived on Copper 9. The Worker Drone population has only survived thanks to underground bunkers that have since become sprawling communities. Uzi Doorman doesn't consider that living, though. How can everyone be content with surrendering their home? Since losing her mother to those monsters, striking back has been at the forefront of her mind. But no one else seems to believe in her dream of a Copper 9 free of Murder Drones.
Whether anyone believes in her or not, Uzi is determined to see her vision through and sets out on a perilous journey that brings her face to face with the boogeymen of Copper 9 and forces greater than she ever could have imagined.

Raven was not used to… any of this really.
She had been trained to walk on eggshells for as long as she could remember. A lifetime spent afraid waiting for the other shoe to drop and for her father to come collecting.
