Summary
Betty Cooper has been in and out of hospitals since the day she was born. Born with an incurable heart condition, the doctors told her parents she wouldn't live to see her first birthday. She lived to see that birthday and seventeen more, perhaps something to do with her desire to see the first snow every year. It seems, during the fall of her eighteenth year, for the first time, she won't be able to see it. With her attacks coming more frequently the doctors say she might not live to see the end of the month.
Enter Jughead Jones. An enigma. A vampire. On the eve of his nineteenth birthday, he was turned against his will and left alone to fend for himself. The only one of his kind to have compassion in his heart, he refuses to drink blood.
One night, the two of them meet by chance, and the two feel an instant spark. When Betty finds out about his true nature, she begs him to drink her blood, so that she can live to see an eternity of first snows. Jughead refuses.
But what happens when he discovers how much danger she is truly in, and how long can these two ignore the immediate attraction that they both feel the moment their eyes meet?

A traveling band stumble upon a tower. Inside they find a girl with the voice of an angel kept in the tower by an evil wizard who uses her voice to keep him young. Every year on her birthday, the royal family releases a sky full of lanterns in memory of their lost daughter. This mysterious girl is the lost princess.
Every year since she could remember, this girl has wanted to figure out what those beautiful lights are and what they mean. She enlists the help of the band, as they were headed to the capital city to perform anyway. The only caveat is this girl has to perform with the band once.

With her, he is soft, and beneath the heavy, dark exterior she sees him — he is lonely, perhaps just as lonely as she is. In each other, they have found answers to questions Alina did not realize she was asking, questions that he has been ruminating on all along.
Her hands slide into his hair, feeling the soft strands beneath her fingers as he tugs her closer, cups her jaw and kisses her as though he’ll never get the chance again. Nothing about this kiss is safe, Alina knows — not just because it’s him, but because of the way he does it, the way he tugs her into his body until she is pressed along the length of him, the way she knows that he intends never to let her go.

Lets Alina take in the mascara streaking her cheeks, the strawberry-flavoured gloss that his thumb has smeared down her chin, and her own glazed-over look before he makes eye contact with her through the mirror and smirks.
“My baby’s going to look at me the whole time, or she’s not going to get to come, alright?”
Or: Sasha probably shouldn’t like fucking younger women so much. If anything, he could at least try being a little nicer to them. But he can’t help himself when he sees the shine of Alina’s lip gloss on her pretty, young face.
