Monica Adenauer is the strongest werewolf anybody has seen in a hundred years. After a poor early childhood she now wants for nothing, because the wolves expect her to rule them someday. The tines of his fork split apart a stratified crust, flaking through to the piquant medley of tender apple and synthamon. It incites a misplaced nostalgia — for this thing he's never tried, born of a place he's never been.
