"Oh, you poor thing, look at you,” Derek cooed, gently prying the trap apart, “So strong, aren't you, little bunny?”
The bunny made a soft clucking noise when it was finally free and hummed happily. It tried to hop away but crumpled in pain. Derek scooped it up, cradling the tiny bunny in his arms. He flashed his eyes at the bunny and stroked its back when it flinched away. “Don’t worry, I won’t hurt you. I promise. I’m gonna take you to a healer so you can get all better.”
