Summary
Most people wouldn't even notice, but when it comes to Shiro, Keith's had plenty of practice watching him. It's in the slight tick of the muscle at the hinge of his jaw, the flash of annoyance in his eyes. It's in the rigid way he holds himself that is somehow imperceptibly different from his normal military bearing.
He seems a little better when they meet for lunch. Some of the tension leaves his shoulders when Keith pulls him into a kiss, but it's still there. Still enough for Keith to notice, enough for a plan to begin to take root in the back of his mind.

"Probably," Shiro admits, waving dismissively. "I'll have to try to make time for it."
"We could do it now," Keith offers. Shiro blinks at him, and Keith flushes red. "I mean, I could. Do that. For you," he says, stumbling over the words a little. "If you want."
Shiro's mind is tipping into dangerous territory at the mental images Keith's offer produces, so he isn't really thinking when he replies "Um, yeah, sounds great!"
Shiro's new desk duties have him feeling a little more tense than usual. Keith wants to help him relax -- because that's what friends do, right?

Summary
The clink of Shiro's dogtags against his chest is loud in the quiet of the room, punctuated by their harsh breathing as they circle each other on the mat. They've been going for a while now; usually by this point they'd have called a draw and hit the showers, but tonight they just keep going. If Shiro were to allow himself to stop and think about it, he might be willing to admit that he is just enjoying getting his hands on Keith's sweat-slick skin in the only context he really can, but that's not really something he allows himself to dwell on.
Shiro and Keith sparring is a regular occurrence. The rest of it? Not so much.
