His hands found the crown prince's neck, fingers closing with deliberate restraint, tightening inch by inch as time stretched thin between heartbeats. Snow-white hair cascaded freely down his back, brushing Alberu's chest as he straddled him, a pale curtain framing a gaze far too calm for the situation it ruled.
Cale's nails dug in—measured, precise. Not enough to draw blood, never enough to leave marks that would linger beyond the moment, but sharp enough to sting, to carve the reminder straight into Alberu's nerves.
"I said pray, Alberu," he repeated.

“The human is right, Cookie Prince!” Raon’s voice, no longer magically transmitted now that they were alone, echoed in the room.
Alberu sighed, a long, drawn-out sound that only Cale seemed capable of eliciting. “Cale, you were wearing… well, you were barely wearing anything! A loose top tied with ribbons, exposing your entire back, in front of the King of Eldoria, his entire court, and our own delegation!”
