    “What?” His hand jerked on the dial, causing static to pour from the sandy speakers. Wolfwood stood, heat swirling in his head.

    “My body. Not too popular with the ladies,” Vash said with an apologetic smile, watching him as he approached.

    “I’m not a lady,” Nicholas’ gaze dipped to his chest, reaching out a hand to trace over his sewn together skin. Vash flinched but leant into Wolfwood’s touch. He wondered when was the last time someone had touched Vash’s bare skin without the intent to hurt him. “And you’re not embarrassing anyone. Idiot.”
