Summary
The red light finally dies down as the natural lights flick back on, finally allowing the adults and teen to see what had ended up in their lab.
A group of children (five to be exact) sit where the table and device used to be, just as disoriented and confused as the Avengers staring at them. They look no older than Peter, one even very clearly younger, especially with the way his small hands rub his bottom as he pouts. They stand, not yet noticing the other presences in the room.
It was the one in the center, a teenage boy with ginger hair and blue eyes that had completely recovered first, getting himself on his feet before scanning the room. His crystal blue meets Steve’s and almost immediately, he freezes.
His entire body goes rigid and his shoulders tense. His eyes go wide and his mouth falls open in disbelief.
“Dad?”

Alternatively: I love the Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow movie and the kids so I decided to thrust them into the MCU. Thor Ragnarok, Avengers Infinity War and Avengers Endgame compliant, but things happen a bit differently.Bookmarked by Deffka26

Natasha sees it before the end. Whether it was the magic of the temple allowing her a glimpse of her good work, or just the last wishful gasp of a dreaming and dying mind, she can't say. But she sees a rolling wave of brilliant white light rushing up to the temple's height, and then there's Clint on his back in a pool of water. He's some distance, she knows, from where she now lies in a broken heap. His eyes are closed, but he is breathing. And there is a muted, brassy glow in his left hand.
And she feels a fleeting flicker of pride. It's a single stroke of black across lines and lines of bloody red. This part of the plan, at least, had worked. She had bought them a chance to set the universe right.
Whatever it takes.
She had been what it took. Her life for theirs. For his. And it had worked.
But her last thought, before the slipping blackness swallows her whole, is Steve.
Let him be okay…
