The first touch is supposed to be something to look forward to. A brush of fingers or the clasping of hands that reveals who your soulmate is supposed to be, color and patterns sliding out over skin and marking you for the rest of your life. Of all the ways to get one, Dick's never even considered that his might come from one of his greatest enemies hitting him across the face. Slade's not too pleased with it either.
