It's been a year since the fall of the last elven gods Elgar'nan and Ghilan'nain, since Solas willingly sealed himself in the Fade to protect the Veil.Between the Final Blight, the incursion of the Antaam, and the fall of no less than three sovereign nations and (possibly) two religions, the team have their work cut out for them, as they now must help rebuild Thedas from the ground up.
In the midst of all this, Atash Laidir - better known as 'Rook', protege of Varric Tethras and leader of the intrepid team - makes a monumental discovery:
She's pregnant.
Atash and Emmrich now find themselves facing a terrifying question:
How can you bring new life into the world, when that world is still in pieces?
A long-form, post-DATV fic about rebuilding a broken world and wingin' it.
There will be:
1) babies
2) general angst
3) (some) Origins-era horror
4) (a lot of) DA2-era snark
5) sprinklings of Inquisition politicking (and Dorian)
6) lots of character cameos from previous games (are they cameos if they play a significant role in the story, though..?)
7) tooth rotting fluff in between the grimdark bits

Summary
Atash/Rook and Co. (Emmrich and Bellara) have their first encounter with a Saarebas mage in the Crossroads. It does not end well. Atash's unusually strong reaction nearly gets her killed, and she winds up in Emmrich's lab having to explain herself while he patches her up.

Summary
It's been a year since the fall of the last elven gods Elgar'nan and Ghilan'nain, since Solas willingly sealed himself in the Fade to protect the Veil.
Between the Final Blight, the incursion of the Antaam, and the fall of no less than three sovereign nations and (possibly) two religions, the team have their work cut out for them, as they now must help rebuild Thedas from the ground up.
Meanwhile, long-dormant adversaries make their move, taking advantage of the aftermath of the gods' fall. The team realizes they have to decide, once and for all, what their role in this new world is, now that they aren't racing against the clock to take down ancient elven gods.
In the midst of all this, Atash Laidir - better known as 'Rook', protege of Varric Tethras and leader of the intrepid team - makes a monumental discovery:
