It might have been reckless, and it might have been stupid, but Joel had gathered everything he needed for a short trip through the mountains and hills, towards an old acquaintance.
It wasn't safe, for he was an omega, and his Master knew nothing of the plan.
It wasn't well-thought of because he knew little of the woman, he would end up meeting but that she helped him and his brother nearly a decade ago in times of great need.
It wasn't even a true escape for as soon as he left, he longed for the comfort and warmth he left at his Master's home. He had been pampered and well cared for. He surely had less reason to run than he used to.
But he also never had an opportunity like now and if he wanted to mend the broken ends in his own story, he had to leave and figure out what happened to his own brother.Series

Slowly, and with a disgusting amount of hesitation, he tilts his head back until he's staring at the ceiling, exposing his neck.
It's against contract to claim him, but Grian's heard the horror stories; there are those who are simply rich enough that the fine for a broken contract is merely the price of the experience of claiming an omega.
Grian can't hold back his full body shudder when he feels the man— the alpha— brush his fingers against his neck, then start fiddling with his collar. This is it. His miserably scarce luck has truly run out.
When the alpha claims Grian he will be useless. He will spend the rest of his days crammed in that cage, with no buyers on his contract— because who would want an omega claimed by someone else?

Grian knows what it means when someone buys his contract, but evidently neither Scar nor Mumbo have put it together yet.

Summary
What if Astarion didn’t end up on the Nautiloid, but one of his siblings did instead?
Tav and their party take down Cazador for their companion Dalyria and Astarion is among the spawn who are freed. Once liberated, Astarion decides to use his skills in seduction to get himself a job at the Sharess' Caress, where Tav finds him again after they defeat the Netherbrain. Tav's party seeks a cure for vampirism that requires all of Dalyria's siblings, so Astarion aids them in the quest between his brothel shifts.
As finding a cure becomes complicated and dangerous, Astarion joins the party and works through his feelings about transactional sex, especially in light of his developing feelings for Tav. For once, Astarion is the one to be seduced.

What a story! I love following my favourite NB Tav and Astarion on their quest. Both of their characters are very convincing and I enjoyed every chapter immensly.
