His robes did nothing to muffle his scream. Outside, the monster stopped, sensing a warmer meal. This was it. He was dying in a hole in the Endless Abyss. Luo Binghe deflated, shivering, shuddering. Minor tremors wracked his body. Claws scratched at the entrance of his sanctuary.
Then there was another scream.
From his mouth? No, that didn’t seem right. Mentally, he tried to turn it off, to stop himself from screaming, and belatedly, he realized that it wasn’t coming from him. It echoed off the walls of the cave though, and it was shrill, blood curdling. The beast outside?
He spat the robes from his mouth, not wanting to look at the mess between his legs, but if he was going to die here, he would see what killed him.
Oh.
Oh, that was a baby.

Xie Lian nodded, and seemed to relax a little. He tilted his head slightly so it was up against his errant fingers. “San Lang… have you ever been…” he trailed off and took a deep breath, starting over. “Have you ever considered…” Xie Lian shook his head and puffed out his cheeks as he let out a frustrated breath. “Have you…” The entire time, he still hadn’t managed to look him in the eye.
“Take your time, gege,” he said softly. His smile hadn’t faltered the entire time, and even if His Highness wasn’t looking at Hua Cheng, Hua Cheng was certainly looking at His Highness, committing every expression to memory.
“I know, I know,” he said, rubbing his forehead and finally, finally, he looked at Hua Cheng. “Last try.” Gege can try as many times as he wants. Hua Cheng bit back his reply; he didn’t want to scare him off now. “San Lang… have you ever… thought about…” he took a deep breath, and then forced out the last word: “Intimacy!”
Xie Lian’s ears burned, and he covered his eyes with both his hands, breaking the eye contact he’d so patiently forged.

“Something the matter, dear?” Her voice caressed Beidou’s body, comforting it. It made her shudder. Was that really the way she spoke when they shared a bed, or was her imagination running wild?
Beidou took another bite of her dinner diligently before answering. “Nothing’s the matter.” The wine. Take a drink of wine. The glass was cool, almost cold against her clammy skin, and she really wanted to keep holding onto it, maybe run it over her skin.
Ningguang slid her hand across the table and held Beidou’s free hand. At the delicate touch, Beidou shifted in her seat. She ignored the pang of need that thrummed through her core and rushed to the surface of her skin. “You’re looking flushed.”
“I’m fine.”
She was not fine.

Summary
SPOILERS for Season 4 ep 9 of Dr. Stone!
Gunshot wounds are dangerous. Gunshot wounds to the chest are downright lethal. The thorax is packed with vital structures, heart, lungs, and more blood vessels than anyone wants to count. So when Senku takes a bullet, he does the math. Odds of survival? Not good. Depressingly low actually, especially with the amount of blood he’s choking on.
But science isn’t about taking the easy way out. And Senku has never been a quitter.
OR
I completely redo everything medical wise that happens after Senku gets shot, because if Dr. Stone prides itself on science, then gunshot wounds deserve the same treatment.

He looked at Aki with an expression that was not quite disbelief, not quite anger — something softer, caught off guard.They notice each other in ways others might not: a glance, a brush of a gloved hand, the way Angel eats strawberries. Life goes on (not for long though), but these small moments linger longer than expected.

He doesn’t care about those touches, nor about the life they take.
They aren’t meant, so they mean nothing to him.But Aki had reached out and touched him and meant it, had wrapped strong fingers around Angel’s wrist like a shackle, and pulled him back from the death Angel has been craving into a strong chest.
Angel can still feel Aki's hand on him; Aki makes sure to give him something more to feel.
