He takes a detour on the way and somehow ends up on the SBI, a ship filled with two other alien kids, a ‘body guard’ Piglin, a medic Phantom, and a considerably old Elytrian for a captain. Somehow he gets adopted.

    (It’s fine, humans pack-bond with anything. Even the weirdest, possibly criminal, possibly innocent, aliens.)
