Pausing at the door to Sheppard Street, Hermione clenched her jaw, one hand retreating from the warmth of her pocket to press at the space behind her breastbone where her broken heart lay shattered.
God, it hurt.
Beyond words, beyond… expression. The pain was nearly unbearable.
Eyes fluttering closed, she remembered the last night they were together. Tangled limbs in tangled bed sheets, gliding the tips of her fingers reverently across his moon-lit features, so serene in sleep. She was adamant about memorizing each and every one of them – same as she did every night. Just in case. She just didn’t-
Hermione sucked in a sob, squeezing her eyes until she saw stars.

...or just another marriage law fic with no direction because I enjoy Hermione getting railed by four different men (quite probably - okay, more than likely - well, actually, she will be getting railed by AT LEAST two at the same time).

It's 1981, and Remus is being used to further an old man's cause, manipulated with pretty words spoken with a strong, steady voice. And the daft prick doesn't even realize it. So much for being smart.
He's been gone, doing something that only Dumbledore knows, something that brings him home with new scars and worn, tattered clothes. A vital mission for the Order of the Phoenix. At least, that was the story.
Or is it how Wormtail tells it? That they couldn't trust him? That Moony was the spy, giving the other side secret information that had led to the loss of countless innocent lives? Sirius couldn't stomach the thought, his gut churning as his brain tried to puzzle it out.
The harrowing thing about it all? Wormtail might be right.

She did snort this time.
“…you have your mother’s wit, for sure. You’re intelligent, oh, yes! Incredibly so. Perhaps you get a bit of that from your father, as well-“
She stiffened.
“-but you don’t love learning for the sake of learning, do you? No, you like to use that knowledge to your advantage. Your mother was the same, which is why I could not place her in Ravenclaw… You are brave, that much is true; one would have to be to leave behind all that they know to enter an unfamiliar world, like your mother before you… You have so much ambition, cunning, like your father… Oh, yes, you’d do very well in SLYTHERIN!”

Witches are going missing at an alarming rate and the Triwizard Tournament is announced. Harry, Hermione and Ron's relationship is tested, Hermione witnesses Draco being tortured and tries to save him. She’s keeping secrets from everyone including herself.
The Tournament will be in pairs, the stakes are higher than ever and it will be projected for the world to watch. A prophecy has forked, and Hermione is faced with impossible choices between Harry and Draco. Draco is being controlled and relationships are tested as Death Eaters infiltrate Hogwarts.

Summary
Set in a Regency-era Harry Potter AU, this fic is “John Tucker Must Die” meets cravats and corsets. Draco Malfoy is the Duke everyone wants—charming, rich, and playing the field without consequences. That is, until Pansy Parkinson, Ginny Weasley, and Luna Lovegood realize he’s been courting all of them… at the same time. The three witches recruit the (not quite) wallflower of the season for help: Hermione Granger, recently returned from America and out for her first season.
But as Hermione plays the part of the perfect duchess-in-the-making, she begins to realize Draco might be more complicated than the charming villain she was expecting—and maybe she’s not as immune as she thought she would be.
This was made for the Dramione Fanfiction writers group: At the Movies - Romantic Comedies! fest. My prompt was: John Tucker Must Die (2006).
