Summary
When a strange cloaked figure starts to rob the rich to give to the poor, Freya is attacked by the Black Cloak, and he mysteriously spares her. She tracks him down, and in the process sees injustices happening in poor neighborhoods in the Republic of the Aaslands, only to find her close friend Roman behind the mask. Four years later after Roman’s miraculous escape, he is finally captured and is brought back to the palace. Everything she has ever known is caught between the balance of the poor and the rich. And she must decide how she truly feels, about everything, and which side she truly is on.
