Summary
Steve's parents have made it very clear over the course of his life that they have specific expectations of him that he's meant to fulfill. There are also things they've hinted towards that he's really not allowed to do, like pursue specific types of people.
Specifically, pursuing anyone that won't be able to fully provide for him and let him live out his life as some esteemed trophy spouse, spending his days sitting pretty and pumping out as many babies as he can, and, as well, not pursuing an omega.
