    Au in which Wei Wuxiang, despite being an illegitimate member of the fallen royal family, turns out to be a war gift for one of the Lan brothers, Lan Wangji. It's not bad or good, it's not at all, at least at first, until after their first and last heat together, the smell of apples and wormwood mixes with someone else's, sweet, honey and vanilla. He is accused of treason and sent to a cold palace, hoping that he will either succumb to apathy and commit suicide, or spend the rest of it alone, despised and rejected by everyone. Lan Zhan even manages to forget about one of his concubines until, on one of the spring festivals, Jiang Yanli and Jiang Cheng, who have restored their power, demand that their brother be given to them as a sign of goodwill. Lan Xichen agrees. Lan Wangji too. At least he thinks so while for the first time in five years he looks at his husband with a small child in his arms and feels an unbearable need to mark, appropriate, make it his own, so that no one else dares to touch or look at the one who belongs to him. He thinks that he can give up the omega, and the next minute he is ready to start another war so as not to allow Wei Wuxian and their child to be taken away from him.

    Anger, resentment, fury, so much fury raged within him as his tears fell onto the pillow below him, creating two large wet spots.

    He felt Lan Xichen’s hand slowly raking through his hair, speaking soft sounds as if trying to console a small child.

    It felt sickening, condescending.

    Lan Wangji didn’t know how the sects could’ve done it, how they could have entered into the Burial Mounds and done what they did when they saw the inhabitants. When the only army they saw were the elderly and women, likely wielding gardening supplies as weapons.

    It wasn’t even a fair fight.

    Prompt: No war abo where WWX pulls of LWJ's forehead ribbon on accident and has to get married to LWJ. WWX tries to make the marriage work, but it's no use. The Lan clan abuse their rules and punish WWX left and right. LWJ acts cold even as he makes WWX perform his martial duty. WWX gets pregnant with A' Yuan and he thinks that LWJ would protect him. He doesn't. LXC then gets married to JGY and the elders prefer him to WWX. After A' Yuan is born, WWX's treatment does not change. A' Yuan is not treated as he should be either. All this time, LWJ does nothing. Since JGY cannot get pregnant, he starts to try and get rid of A' Yuan. He fails and when WWX finds evidence against JGY, no one protects them, not even LWJ. WWX has had enough and cuts off the tips of both hia and A' Yuan's hair. They then run. After hiding thanks to JYL and JC, they move to Yiling where WQ and WN help them. WX eventually sees WWX and courts him. WWX accepts. Later, people are surprised to see A' Yuan and WWX in Wen sect robes.
