Summary
No one wants to run into their soulmate when every encounter feels like a burning reminder of what will never be. His nearness scorches and hurts; neither friendship nor love can smother the fire that wounds more than it warms. Every shadow he casts drags along a cold that dims everything around him, and colors that once felt like joy now twist into torment. His aura —so fierce, so sharp— is a blade that cuts; a flicker of life that promises closeness but leaves nothing but ashes. The bond is there, fragile and doomed, suspended between craving and denial, impossible to hold without breaking… unless both of them finally decide to give in.

Summary
Tooru believed he would never again feel the rush of thrill and joy he got whenever he was on the court with the eyes of the world on his back. The practised ease with which he tossed the ball in the air, ran up to jump and hit it across the net, his feet touching the ground the same time the ball did. Making his mark. Proving his mettle. Carving his legacy.
He held the belief right until that moment, nestled close to his ribs.
Then he saw Tobio fly.

Summary
Kageyama Tobio was born in a Shinto shrine in Kyoto, raised in Sendai, and educated in Tokyo. For his entire life, he’d rejected being locked into any sort of constraining label: traditional omega, modern athlete, national treasure. He could be a top professional athlete and still visit his family’s shrine every summer. He could remain unmarried and childless but still embrace being an omega. He could love and hate his overbearing family at the same time. It had taken him a very long time to accept himself, but he’d succeeded in the end.
When Oikawa Tooru re-enters his life at the Tokyo Olympics, he brings all the insecurity and unstable misery of Tobio’s teenage years back with him.
