Summary
Lieutenant Jay Waters of the Alliance is a scientist researching the interplay of biotics and biology, when her research is suddenly cut short by the reaper invasion. Dr. Waters then finds her whole world transformed as she is recruited to the Normandy, following the captivating and charming Jane Shepard in her mission to unite the races of the galaxy, even though she's not sure about any of it. The relationships she develops change her life forever, as her, Shepard, and the crew try to live and find love in these dark times.
**This story begins at roughly the point of Mass Effect 3 start, and will focus mostly non-described events from the trilogy, rehash of in-game content sparse (for now), almost entirely canon-compliant save for the original character and those related to her, and some relationships. I've tried to stay within believable boundaries and technical assumptions, but my memory of some minor details in the series might be foggy. My goal is for you to have no trouble imagining that all these scenarios are plausible in the story we all love. Some relationship tags will be explored in flashbacks.
