Amelia Watson sat before Amelia Watson. Amelia of this world sat in her office chair, leaned casually forward over her table with her weight over her forearms. Amelia of the other world or Watson, as Amelia now identified her as, sat languidly back into the chair opposite of Amelia. Watson leaned onto one side, elbow sat upon one armrest, and she smiled placidly at her counterpart.
Watson sat there, relaxed and she seemed genuinely content. It was Amelia who was stricken with an odd sense of panic and cold fear.
At that moment Amelia decided that Watson could possibly not be human. Or at least if she was, she’d be human in the same sense that Ina was human.

Ina is a small time commission artist. Calliope is a SoundCloud rapper that has yet to make it big. They are roommates. Calliope has missed three months rent and suddenly comes up with all of that missed rent DOUBLED and a (very expensive!) drawing tablet as an apology.
Ina, of course, thinks that Calliope became a sex worker to pay for rent. Which, ya know, isn't a bad thing if Calliope wasn't the awkward and shy idiot that probably wouldn't do sex work fully by her own choice.
Calliope meanwhile is dealing with getting over a car accident and weird seniors at work.

Kiara was as exuberant as any other phoenix. Phoenixes were as energetic as the roaring flames they were born in to.

Mira grins and sips on her drink, listening intently to whatever Zoey’s saying, the shorter girl gesticulating her hands wildly in the air.
