This was it. The moment of truth. He had come this far with his plan, and though part of him wanted to just say ‘Nvm, forget it – I was joking the whole time, lawl’, the new, confident part insisted there was no backing out now.
So, he slowly turned to face the hunter before him, taking in a deep breath and steeling himself to appear as confident as possible. “I want…” His breath caught in his throat as Rook looked on curiously.

“What do you mean what is this?” Astarion snaps, dusting invisible wrinkles from his clothing before he crosses his arms, chin sticking up in the air as he glares up at Halsin. “Perhaps you’re unfamiliar with the concept of sex. Shall I explain it in graphic detail?”
“My heart, I wish us to speak plainly,” Halsin says patiently. “You have not expressed to me that anything has changed for you."
“Gods, you’re dramatic sometimes!” Astarion complains. “I was just—I thought you might want…” Astarion tuts. “I was thinking maybe we could try.”
(or: they've got the camp to themselves, and Astarion means to make good use of that time. Halsin just wants to make sure Astarion is taken care of. There is a part 1 but you don't need to read it for context haha)
