Summary
A young Hange Zoe is dragged into The Underground while running away from all she'd ever known. What rotten luck could've gotten her tied up in the back of a merchant's (if she could even call it that) wagon? She'd heard the cautionary whispers of course, of 'businessmen' who dealt with humans and sold them to brothels and whatnot. Hange just never thought she'd be the subject of it, but here she was and there was nothing she could do about it except try to loosen the rope that bound her wrists.
Or, Hange is kidnapped, Levi finds her.

Summary
In 1972, within the small town of Yomiyama, a middle school student named Levi passed away. Since then, Yomi North Junior High and the whole town has been in the grip of a terrifying curse that befalls upon anyone who's in the same class as Levi was.
Twenty-six years later, unaware of any of that, Hange Zoe transfers to Yomi North from Tokyo and realises her class is keeping a secret from her.
There are a lot of things she cannot understand - from the weird behaviour of her classmates to the mysterious boy called Levi who sits in the last seat, wears an eye patch and, apparently, is only visible to her.
