—means that there is no true and unchanging self. One cannot look at themselves and say "this is where I begin and the world ends; this is all of me." Similarly, there is no enduring "self" from one moment to the next; all that we are defies classification and exists to change.
Kujou Sara has had strange dreams her entire life—dreams of a life as a general of the Inazuma Shogunate, and the two women with which she fell in love. One day, she visits a museum exhibit on the history of the Shogunate, and when she meets a strange, familiar woman there, Sara realises that these may not just be dreams after all.
With this realisation comes questions, and as Sara finds herself drawn into memories of a past life, immersed in feelings that may or may not be truly hers, she comes face to face with the question of who—and what—she really is.

Summary
Set in the months after the end of their War with Salem ended, Ruby and Pyrrha have moved in together and are slowly healing from the scars they'd earned along the way - both mental and physical. Pyrrha, sweet, kind Pyrrha, is just as understanding as ever. Their time together in the bedroom since the war ended has been beautiful, easy and soft. It was wonderful in its own way, but once upon a time, they'd been no strangers to having a bit of fun in private. Ruby knew she was just trying to help, knew that things were tender and that they both needed a soft touch or two after Salem was defeated, but after so many months...a part of Ruby begins to whisper that Pyrrha simply doesn't find her attractive anymore. She knows it's stupid, but little insecurities become Demons if left unattended.
“Pyrrha, I know you’re trying to be all caring and attentive, I know you’re just being your nice self…” One of her hands came up, to card through those pretty locks of crimson hair, soft and silky, curling around the shell of her ear. There, with that touch, Ruby met her gaze and breathed, “...but I really just want you to ravage me.”
It's a real miracle how many problems just Talking solves.

But her eyes stand out more. They are a muted shade of turquoise, so pale they almost, almost look grey like the rest of her. And yet...Shalom feels like there is something within those eyes. A flicker, or a spark. Something that lights them up and makes them stand out against the incredibly drab and nondescript outfit of their owner.
Despite herself, something genuine begins to creep into Shalom's smile. Earlier, her curiosity was piqued. Now, it's her interest that's been roused. She waits.
“Hello,” the woman says. “I take it I have the privilege of talking to Shalom?”

She tried to ignore the part of her that said ‘pitying’.
“Miko told me I should tell you the truth,” Ei murmured, “but I did not think…”
“Your Excellency, please,” Sara gasped, “I don’t— allow me to explain—”
“I am so very sorry, Sara.”
And in those words was the answer to every question Sara was too afraid to ask.
“She’s not a person, Sara.”
“She’s nothing more than a hollow shell, Sara.”
“She can’t love you back, Sara.”
In which Kujou Sara learns the truth, and refuses to accept it.

Summary
A modern world college AU mainly focused on Sara, Miko, and Ei.
Sara is a discouraged college student going for a degree in art, where she becomes infatuated and intrigued by Ei, the wife of her art teacher Miko. Over time, Sara has to navigate the complicated feelings that develop for her teacher and her teacher's wife, and untangle how the threads of fate tie them together. All this while also having to navigate the difficulty of a troubled past and a vastly uncertain future.
