Death, Jason Grace thought, is very boring.
Granted, dying hadn’t been anything of the sort. Dying had been terrifying and painful and something that Jason very much wanted to avoid repeating in the immediate future. 0 out of 10. Negative a million stars. Would not recommend it. Thank you very much.
But when Jason is approached by Three unlikely patrons, he is given a chance to do it all again. This time with the purpose of saving those he couldn't and protecting those who needed it. And Jason has never been one to run from a fight. He is given one task: Stop Fate from being destroyed by those who would abuse it by neutralizing the enemy's pawn, through "Any means necessary."
