Gryf a ramener Samaël à Jaguarys, dans l'idée de présenter les deux personnes qu'ils considèrent comme ses frères et pour s'assurait que Samaël serait à présent en sécurité.
Kel-Cha n'a jamais eu de problème avec Anoth ramenant ses amis, les Légendaires seraient toujours les bienvenus à Jaguarys, et ils ne venaient pas souvent, respectant les habitudes autarciques des habitants de la cité cachée. Mais Samaël n'était pas juste un ami d'Anoth. Et Kel-Cha n'avait aucune envie de partager son frère dans la cité.

Crystal didn’t mean to pick up a familiar. It sounds like a rather stupid idea, really. She’s not a witch. She doesn’t get her powers from spells and potions and ingredients and the like.
No, she gets it from the things rooted deep inside of her. From the roots that she has to the past that she is still trying and failing to figure out. From the souls of all of the women that came before her, who refused to give in, who refused to let injustice happen, who refused to let wounds go untended, who refused to let go of themselves no matter what the world did to them, staying as strong as the tree woven from all of their souls.
So why the fuck is Monty human, now, shivering on the ground, on his knees before her, head bowed in surrender, with the feeling of his life winding around her fingers, just begging to be broken, just begging to be yanked.
Monty is alive. Monty is alive, and here, and-
And Niko is dead. Niko is dead.
Niko is dead, and Crystal knows that she could so easily blame Monty.
(After Esther is taken away by Lilith, Crystal is "gifted" Monty as a familiar. Currently wracked by grief, this makes for some...interesting results.)

Summary
All of a sudden, a hand lands on Charles’ shoulder.
It is instinct, buried in his blood a decade and half ago, through the shoulders of a little boy that was learning that not every touch was kind, not even those of your father, that makes Charles flinch back.
But Charles looks up and he sees that there is an angel in front of him.
Charles never would have imagined that angels were dressed in denim jackets and faded rock band t-shirts, but then again, he didn’t have whiplash when he was picturing angels on his knees in church as a kid. He was mostly focused on the way that he preferred his mother’s religion to his father’s, the way that he preferred Ganesha and the like to hate that was spewed from the pulpit every Sunday.
Maybe the reason why Charles never pictured an angel looking like this was because he was taught that angels were just extensions of a god that sought to punish, rather than all soft long hair and pretty lips and ink dark eyes that any painter would kill to capture.
And Charles definitely wouldn’t have pictured an angel as driving a pick-up truck, which is parked on the median a car’s length down from Charles’ wreck.
