It was two weeks before the day the doctor assigned to his case had tentatively chosen as the day he could finally leave the hospital, when Alphonse woke up with a fever.
“Just be patient, Alphonse ” he told himself, sitting up in bed and brushing the hair that stuck to his sweaty forehead with an annoyed movement of his fingers “It’s just a small setback ”. He took his arm braces and started walking towards the bathroom, wanting to splash some cold water on his face, when he felt his eyes tearing up.
Pack, something inside of him screamed. I need pack.
And as he felt his abdomen start to cramp, and he bit his lip to silence the cry that wanted to escape, he understood what was happening.
Uh, guess I’m an omega like Brother.
Or, Post Promised Day and still in the hospital, Alphonse has his first heat.
